Making an initial appointment with a counselor/therapist or psychologist can be a little confusing. Hopefully, this information will be helpful in determining a good "fit" for your needs.

Take a moment to look around our site, to find out which location and therapists might work best for you. To find out which provider would be the best match for you, be sure to review their individual pages, which can be found on the menu to the right. Each provider has specific locations, training, and expertise. Generally, they manage their own practices which includes:

    • schedules
    • availability
    • insurance and employee assistance program (EAP) plans accepted
    • Any financial aide, reduced fees and/or payment plans which may be available.

If you know which counselor you wish to see, you are welcome to contact them directly to obtain more information or to inquire about making a new appointment. Like many practices in the behavioral health field, our providers do not have receptionists, and nearly all of them schedule their own appointments. Since our counselors are with patients/clients most of the day, they may not be immediately available to return calls. All of our voicemail boxes are confidential, so you can leave a detailed message with any of our providers.

    1. Location/directions: All of our offices are located in host churches. Addresses and links to maps can be found on each provider's page, or on the Office Locations page.
    2. Paperwork: There are also some forms to complete, which can be found on the clinician's individual pages.  All of the forms are completed and signed online. Your counselor will discuss which forms to complete while scheduling your first appointment-- or be sure to ask.
    3. Referred by your doctor? It may be helpful to have your doctor send some notes or referral information. They can fax them to us at 360-568-1654. It may be faster to have the notes mailed directly to your counselor, if they are not located in our Snohomish office.
    4. Paying for your care: We accept most insurance plans, many employee assistance programs, and also may have some ability to help with the cost of care. We accept cash, check/money order, and major credit cards. For more information see our financial page.
