Outpatient Mental Health Therapist/Psychologist

Job Description

OPENINGS-- Woodinville, Everett

We are looking for just the right person to join our agency.

We have an opening for counselor/psychologist in our Woodinville and Everett offices, and are looking for just the right person to fill this position. This position is to provide office-based, outpatient psychotherapy and/or psychology services to patients in our communities. We accept most insurance plans, and provide some adjusted fee scale rates to those who cannot afford the full cost of counseling.

Starting a private practice can be a challenge, particularly since there is not a set salary-- Much like a working in a private practice group, therapist income here is based on fees generated, via a 'fee-split' system. A portion of the fees generated by the therapist are used to pay agency costs, and the therapist is paid the rest. But, we are able to give the therapists a larger share of the fees than in other practices. We offer some of the best parts of private practice and agency employment: Therapists get to set their own schedules and patient load, but do not have to worry about overhead costs (like rent, phone, utilities, billing insurance and patients, etc). We take care of that for you.

We have a supportive group of seasoned providers, and we meet frequently for group consultation, and provide some free continuing education hours (CEU's) every year. Our turnover is low, for a good reason: We like it here.

Job Type: Full-time preferred: may start as part time, with a plan to move to full time as soon as practice builds. May consider part-time options.

Required education: Master's or Doctorate degree in psychology or other behavioral health-related field.

Required license or certification: Candidates must be licensed at the highest level for their profession. We cannot hire those with Associate or Agency Affiliated licenses.

Additional Required Qualifications:

-Able to work independently, and take initiative to build a practice.

-A strong belief in respecting each person's spiritual beliefs and practices.

Desired Qualifications (but not required)

-Training in pastoral care, or Christian counseling

-Experience in private practice

-Current contracts with health insurance plans

We help new staff members with insurance contracting, and some marketing.

Salary and Benefits:  We pay on a fee-split basis (like commission).  In lieu of benefits, we pay a higher percentage than other agencies, giving you the flexibility to decide what you want to do with the money you earn.

We also strive to respect the belief systems and practices of our host churches.
